Sticks for All

The great thing about being a kid is that you can turn the most ordinary thing into something extraordinary. Take sticks for example. Most of the time you ignore them, maybe you pick them up in your yard and throw them in the trash without giving it much thought. A kid comes across a stick and thinks, who was the fool that left this behind. Here are a few of the games you can play with your average stick.

Blind Man: This game is pretty self explanatory not one of his favorites, lots of falling involved.





Tree Surgeon: This one involves delicately removing pieces of bark. Think of it as removing warts with a stick.






Bug Exterminator: The blunt end of the stick is great for bug squashing.



Underground Water Surveyor: Here you channel the earth’s energy through a forked stick and are able to find water deep below ground (probably not very much fun but was the only thing I could think of that matched this picture). “There Be Water down there Dad I can feel it.”

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all be satisfied with a couple of sticks?
