My Thanksgiving

First off, my Dad would like to apologize for the late nature of this correspondence. Now, with the pleasantries out of the way I can get to business. You see, this was my very first Thanksgiving, now, now, stay in your seats, its true. I was not quite sure what to expect. But now I think I have down the routine. Late the night before Mom makes a mad rush to H.E.B. (a local grocery store chain that I heard stands for Harry E. Butts, don’t quote me on this but I'm pretty sure that’s what my Dad said, and I’m not sure why he laughs every time he says it). Sorry Back to the story. Mom has to buy all

the ingredients for her pumpkin toffee cheesecake and then bangs a lot of pans together shouting strange words as she goes. Dad finally put me to sleep, but I could still hear Mom talking to herself in the distance, I’m starting to worry about her, she may need professional help. The next morning Mom got me all dressed up while Dad was stuffing everything I owned into the car. Why didn’t we just take the truck instead of driving himself crazy trying to stuff everything into the car. I think he has issues as well, he kept mumbling “2.75 a gallon” over and over again as he packed the car. About two bottles

later and we were off. Seemed like a long way to go for some food, but Mom seemed to think it was worth it for the stuffing, whatever that means. When we finally got there I proceeded to watch a strange ritual. I think the idea was that when Grandpa said go, everyone was to make all the food disappear as fast as they could. One diaper change had passed and all the food was gone. My Dad and the other boys disappeared into the other room and rubbed their tummies making noises like they needed to go potty. Later I was presented with the same test. As you can see I learned from Dad’s example and proved that it was not too much of a challenge. For some odd reason Mom removed my clothing before I was sat down. This was something nobody else had to do. I can only assume that this somehow made the food taste better. I'll just have to trust Mom on that one. I know that was kind of a long story for some pictures of me eating my first Thanksgiving, but hey, I’m worth it

That looks way better than my turkey and sweet potatoes in a jar. You must have some teeth. Man, I need to get some of those!!

Comment above posted by Aden, not his parents. They do have teeth.

Wow Logan...you're quite the story teller. Is there anything you can't do? Grant says that you're his idol. Speaking of idols, did you try out for the new season of
American Idol too?
